According to statistics from the Bureau of Energy of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the total length of oil pipelines in Taiwan is 4,060.5 kilometers and natural gas pipelines are about 35,000 kilometers, not including industrial pipelines such as ethylene and propylene. A large amount of manual non-destructive testing is required to prevent unplanned shutdowns and large-scale industrial accidents such as fires and poisoning. This is a labor-intensive and highly technical job. Professional talent training is not easy. The industry urgently needs to introduce AI technology to establish a standardized basis for judging photos, reduce the load on inspectors, and improve the reliability of inspections.
